Slide the heel piece or remount?

Just got a used pair of 2010 Atomic Patents 184with the FFG14's.... Ski is currently mounted true center but for a smaller boot than mine. Is it okay to slide the binding heel piece back on the track or should I remount the bindings? It appears that the boot was about 2 sizes smaller than mine. Thanks!

I would slide the heel peice back. It's better to not re-mount the ski if possible. Worst case scenerio, if you hate how it skis you could re-mount it later, but odd's are you'l never notice a CM difference especially if you've never skied the ski before.

take to a shop, get them to do it for you. if they don't need to remount, they won't

i just had to do this with my skis. two sizes back too and it will only be about a cm or two. i havent skied them yet but i doubt it will be any different. i would suggest not remounting.

Thanks! That was my thought too. Always better not remounting, boot fits just fine when I slide it back.

unless you know how to set forward pressure and din, do yourself the favour and take them to a shop. but as in almost every thread asking for help with bindings, you'll just crank your din anyway and i'm talking to an empty room.

Definitely not cranking them all the way up and am taking them to the shop to get it set right. Appreciate the help.
