Over the past year ive become increasingly interested in filming an editing. When watching a ski edit or any visual media i always notice the cinematography, and how it was edited/shot.
This year I took a comm tech course at my school that involves aloot of filming an editing and i can firmly say that i really enjoy doing it and would definetly like to further pursue it.
When it comes to filming and editing im still definetly a beginner. Ive learned alot of film theorey in terms of angles and types of shots but have not had much of an opprotunity to put these techniques into practice. I also have alloot of ideas but like i said, i havnt been able to try them out.In terms of editing the only editing program ive learned is adobe premiere 7 but ive reacently downloaded adobe premiere cs5.5 on my computer (i know its a giant leap from premiere 7) in hopes of self teaching my self how to use it using tutorials.
Anyywways. What would be a good beginner camera. Ive been looking at gopro hero 2 because of its price and versatility (because id definetly want to be filming skiing) but im worried that it might not be so good for filiming non skiing things...? like if i ever end up trying a short film or something like that. Im wondering if there are better alternatives to the gopro but at that price ($300)
Thank you!
