Replying to Questions about transmitters/triggers and flashes

Bmo.:

Hey guys,

Ive been doing some research on flashes and transmitters/triggers, and I need some help. I understand a few parts but need some gaps to be filled. I have a T2i and am trying to figure out what I need. I’ve been looking into Yougnou 560 flashes and I think I’m gonna pick one up. I will be eventually pick up another one. So If I have it mounted in the coldshoe off camera, what do I need to set it off? Can u set it as a slave and trigger with the camera’s built-in flash? Or does the slave mean that its set off from other flashes IR signal? Do I need a transmitter for my camera? Also, do u have to put a receiver on the flashes or does the flash have that built in? Thanks for all your help guys, I greatly appreciate it. Also please tell me what you use for transmitters. +K to all responses
