Which monitor to get for a mac

I'm about to buy the 21.5 inch imac. Does anyone know which monitor is best to use as a second monitor? I've done a bit of research and apparently dell makes one that's close to the same quality.

There's also the option of buying an older 24 inch mac display. Anyone know if the casing is exactly the same size as the 21.5 inch? The resolution width on both of them is 1920 but the 24 is a tiny bit higher but doesn't have that extra space at the bottom.

get a samsung 32 inch TV/monitor. they're like 250. super sick.

we use em as monitors for video switching during live events.

why do you need a second monitor?   21 is pretty big

Sure I could resize my windows so everything fits but I just like working with 2 monitors best. I'm looking for one that's 1920 x 1080 that fits the 21.5 imac the best. It doesn't necessarily have to look good.

I got a 24" acer 1080p LED display from newegg for like 150 bucks, i love it

Yup I ended up getting a dell 1080p led display for $200 with adjustable height so it'll fit with my mac. Thanks for the help

FYI any hd movies you bought off itunes won't work on a monitor thats not apple

Its is but its not perfect, i still use my imac screen for color correction.
