I go to a college up in Syracuse, and we have bathrooms that do not have soap or paper towels, but they have water.  Just curious to know if that's legal?

Because having a bathroom without soap/towels that is in a college dorm where kids are entering and exiting it like every 30 seconds poses a health threat.......but what do I know so that's why I'm asking you guys

I feel like soap might be mandatory but paper towels probably not... especially if there are hand dryers... But really there are tons of shitty public restrooms where management never bothers to get soap/paper towels refilled so most of the time they don't have any anyways...

in Grenada homosexuality is illegal. Just a couple weeks ago, two local bus drivers were "caught in the act" and both got 25 year sentences...not to mention the occasional stonings to death, but that hasn't happened since the mid 90's.

College dorms you're basically renting a place with a shared bathroom. Are landlords generally required to provide their tenants with soap? Nope (unless it's in the lease which would be kinda weird). It's not a public washroom/workplace washroom. Technically, they're doing more than required just by providing toilet paper.

It is disrespectful, but I would say that it doesn't come close to being a question of ethics. Calling someone a name doesn't quite cut it to be considered unethical, however a name with a history like 'negro' might be depending on the situation. Simply saying 'i hate gays' is rude, disrespectful, and should be kept to ones self, but it's not unethical.

treat dorm bathrooms like a sanctuary. It's one of the few places where colleges can hit back.

Break some fixtures? No more paper towels.

Continue breaking? No more soap.

Outright destruction? No more toilet paper.


And if they want, they can alter how often it gets cleaned. One of our bathrooms a few years ago got ruined, and to get their point across, it wasn't cleaned for almost 2 weeks. Believe me, that bathroom was spotless for the rest of the year.


The only real laws regarding bathrooms is that you have to have a certain number of toilets/sinks/showers (if applicable) per certain number of people.

I know that it's no "cool" but I still respect a person even if he discriminate other. It's your choice to hate something, not mine. I don"t know why I would tell you to go kill yourself just because you don't like something(gay,black,ginger,jews etc.)

IMO if you hate someone because he don't like something, you are the same kind of person.(ex: AR6 hate the other guy because he hate gay) idk if you guys understand what i'm trying to say but wathever

Being able to express whatever thoughts you want is one of the biggest accomplishments of our society. If you don't like what they say, don't listen to them. But to say 'you're not allowed to say something because it offends people' is incredibly backwards. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing. Like I said, when you start repressing someones words, where do you draw the line? You can't start or it's a slippery slope. For instance, a gay may say "that religious nut is saying homophobic things about me, that shouldn't be allowed", if that's not allowed then the religious person is going to say "well if I can't say homophobic things then people can't say things against my religion", etc etc. that's working backwards on so many levels.

To call someone an ignorant fuck for realizing that is really ignorant and fucked.

First of all, nowhere did I say he wasn't allowed to do anything. I was just expressing my opinion that to hate gay people is ignorant. Second, I am not repressing his words. Just telling him that it makes me want to punch him in the dick. You took this way out of context and took it way too seriously.
