so i went skiing at my home mountain in NY (hype) first day ever, and my boot order hasnt come in yet (dalbello boss) so i was skiing my friends shit nordica race boots wich were like a 26 and im a 30. anyways im sitting in the lodge after a morning of shinbang and this 11 year old kid, with walmart outerwear like no other sits across from me. he reaches into his bag and pulls out a brand new pair of 2012 first chairs... and rossignol rental skis sit next to him Click for larger image

are first chairs boots? if so kid knows what's up. Boots are (by far) the most important piece of equipment you have.

Fuck yeah im jealous, there first chairs, i was having a little bit of a shitty day with my shitty boots, and i dont give a shit where his stuff came from, i just picked a store and walmarts signature blue puffys seemed to fit the description, btw if you was the kid ski you would think ARC day not AR6 day

maybe the kid is on the cutting edge of progression. maybe he realizes that instead of spending close to 500 dollars on outerwear in the name of looking cool, he instead decided to for go looking cool (read:tool) and put his money into equipment that will make him a more happier and effective skier.

Skiing is expensive. Maybe he doesn't go that often. That's why he (or his parents) decided they were going to spend money on boots so he could at least be comfortable, while using rentals.
