get a used hv30, they pop up in the media and arts forum every once in a while. great camera for the price, under $400 usually, i got mine for $360. the videos are really sharp. It records to tapes, which is nice because they are reliable, easy to import to your computer, and the files are small so they are easy to edit. I hope this helps!
