I like Americanos. I also like gas station coffee.

Most of the time, I like to use the raw sugar (two packets for a 16ouncer), and a bit of 1/2&1/2. Yeah, yeah, men drink black coffee, whatever. I HATE overly sweet coffee drinks, any of that french vanilla shit, etc.

A lot of NS like there coffee black eh?

Whenever someone sees me with my black coffee in the morning at school they always are so puzzled by it. If the coffee is made properly (not to weak to the point where its bitter, or too strong) it tastes best when drunk black.

me and my roommates always cheap out on coffee so sugar and a splash of cream is always needed. But, i do enjoy a nice cup of good coffee with a little bit of agave syrup.

coffee is the best drink on earth, holy shit.

Black is the only way. I honestly think both milk and sugar in coffee is gross. Sipping an some kind of eco-mix right now. Black and a little to strong, just the way it's supposed to be.

I dunno why people like flavored coffee, I guess you can't argue about taste, but come on. Personally, I'm a fan of black coffee, fairly strong. Big on the espresso as well, but my machine still looks like this:

Most days I have black filter coffee.
Sometimes if I'm feeling the need to treat myself with coffee I'll have some milk and sugar in it. Or sometimes make a mocha, or just put some kind of syrup in it.
If its instant coffee I HAVE to have milk and sugar or I can't drink it.

There's some almond syrup behind the bar in the hotel where I work, I'm thinking about trying it in coffee.

if that's a la pavoni, thats a 600 dollar machine, minimum. way to ball. What type of grinder do you have?

My morning coffee is brewed in a chemex, water at 200°F, 17grams beans to 250mL of water with a 30 second infusion followed by a 3:00 extraction. This hits about a 19% extraction yield which will offer a sweet cup with very few bad bitter notes.

as far as beans go, I prefer the citrusy notes found in kenyan and ethiopian beans to anything else.

also related to this thread, my next kitchen purchase is going to be a vacuum pot, so that I can entertain guests with morning brewing antics, as brunch is my favorite meal.

kicking horse coffee is great. I mostly buy level grounds now because it tastes just as good for cheaper. Still when I want something super bold nothing beats KH 454HP.

You like that chemex I take it?  I have been thinking about adding another brewing method to my arsenal and the chemex might be it.

By the way, I just finished up some good Ethiopian beans from Barefoot Coffee Roasters that I picked up over at Nobrow here in SLC.
