Good time lapse program?

I was just wondering what editing programs some of you fellow NSers use? I have been using imovie but its not that good. preferably one that has good time lapse effects. imovie doesn't reduce the length enough. Any help would be appreciated.

I may be wrong but I am pretty sure that in Imovie you can shorten a clip to a specific time and not just using the switch thing for the speed.

If you pick your clip and go to clip adjustments you should see this


You can adjust the percent to a pretty high amount. Try this out and see if it works. Just type in the percent box instead of moving the slider around.

quicktime pro to make the lapses then you import it into whatever editting program as a video file.

this.

i use quick time 7, open an image sequence, and select the frame rate to match whatever video settings you want to put it with, then export the sequence as a video file. then you should be able to bring that into imovie or whatever just like any other clip and you can then play around with the speed on there if your heart desires

By far the easiest way to do it.
Just make sure to check the export settings and set them correctly.
