MAKE A METAL RAIL

Ok ik theres alot of posts on this but i can never make anything out of wat ppl say in them.
Im hoping on making a nice rail this summer for winter. I want it to be a good distance to get used to jibben. Can someone explain to me with detail on how to make it.Also ik ppl who weld and have a welder so thats not a problem.

first off you need a welder, otherwise don't even try, i kinda luagh when kids talk about wood and pvc rails, cause well, mine are just so much better, and you need to find or buy the steel. Then your possibilities are endless, well actually not true, i have access to many many resources such as pipe bender and a welder, and something to cut the metal all of that, it's not that easy to do if you don't have any of that, if you have these resources or more, then you're set to ask more questions, if you don't, maybe rethink your idea cause it'll just cost you alot of money if you have someone else do it

I have all the resources cuz my dad owns a business and he cuts pipe all the time. Im just wonderen wat kinda of metal to use and how to put it togather and etc. Theres a scrapyard neer buy where i could buy it.

If you buy it they will cut it for you without a welder drill holes in 3 - places on the underside where your mounts to the ground will hold it and go to the scapyard and make metal stands /-\ to hold it up. If you have a pipe bender and a welder go to town S roller would be sweet in august.

use some 2' square tubing. if you have the gear you can cut the tubing, and make any kinks/curves. once you have the main rail, you can weld the vertiacl supports to make it however high you want it. if you want it to be portable, weld some sort of T on the bottom of the vertical supports. if it's stationary, just bust out a sledge and whack it in the ground.
PS. if is is stationary, wait till after it rains to pound it's alot easier. and use a level.

if you use strong enough steel, supports can be just like TTTTT and make it as long as you want. 20 ft is good. rail making has no set parameters. just do what works.
