FULL TILT KONFLICT

if they fit him, it would probably be a pretty good boot for him.

i have last years konflicts i love them the intuition liner is amazing. but they dont come with a foot bed he might need one. i needed one. my foot is happy if they fit great get them i love mine

I didn't ask if they will fit him, mate. I asked if the boots are high quality, stiff powerful boots - I.e. "are the konflicts a viable alternative to Rossi races or Lange 130s. Obviously it doesn't mean shit if it don't fit.

ok then, no they are not. if my memory serves me correctly the konflicts are an #8 flex tongue? which is not going to be a stiff as as a rossi/lange 130, and if he is charging and wanting to progress going softer really doesnt seem logical, i have a limited knowledge of boots but from what i know maybe stay in his current race shell and get some sort of custom freeride liner, that way it wil fit like new and likely be stiffened?

Yeah if he's coming from a race 130 flex than he will most likely have to swap out the tongue on the konflicts to a #10. alot of people tend to say that even at a #10 the full tilts flex is too soft. I've ridden a #10 and a #6 and I've never felt they were too soft but I hear this alot. So if they fit him and he likes the way they look, (he's prob the only dude on the planet if that's the case.), then they'll work. I have friends who swear the konflict is they best boot they've ever owned. I personally think they're pretty hideous lookin but that's neither here nor there. Now that said, this year I'm in the atomic hawx 120s. It's a boot that most konflict types wouldn't consider. But after my praises, one of my buds swore off his konflicts and bought a pair. Also, at least one if not two of the konflict owners who work at my shop have gone to the hawx 120 after all the hub bub with mine. We were shootin the shit about the hawx and we all kinda were blown away by how the forefoot flex locks your heel down even under stress. It makes butters/presses/etc so much easier. It's a slightly wider last than the konflicts but it's not so wide that it makes it soft. Something else to consider trying on is all. I've also heard great things about the salomon ghosts for this type of riding and they're a 130 flex. I'm sure if he's comin out of a race boot he's got a pretty good idea of what's gonna fit and what won't though so I'd try on a bunch. That's what I did and ended up in the hawx which I would have never considered otherwise. Good luck.
