Road rage incident- guy called cops on me. Am I fucked?

ok I know theres very limited legal knowledge in this forum but Im worried whats gonna happen.

some guy gave me the finger (idk why) so I changed lanes right in front of him and put on my brakes pretty hard. he started riding my ass so I did it again. I change lanes and kinda lose him in traffic. But as soon as I turn into my friend's neighborhood I see him right behind me. I have my gf in the car so Im not taking any chances with this guy. I grab my Gerber multi tool, pull out the 3 inch blade, put it in my pocket, then slam on my brakes and run up to his window ready to go. I'm just like "whats up whats up" and this four eyed nerd is on the phone calling the cops (luckily I didn't ever 'brandish' my weapon). At first Im ready to wait for the cops but a split second later my sense kick in and I realize thats not going to be in my best interest. So I get back in my car and drive away at normal speed. He's still following me so I freak out and floor it (Im in a hybrid btw) and start passing people in the wrong lane and and get the fuck out of there and head towards stateline as fast as I could.

So after hiding out in Missouri for about an hour I made it home. Now I'm wondering if anything else is gonna happen?

I'm pretty sure he got my license plate but I'm wondering what the cops will do since there was no accident and they didn't witness any of it. Technically they wouldn't even be able to prove I was the one driving but I'm still concerned.

also, this is not me trying to brag about this im not trying to be ghetto, in reality it was a huge wakeup call that an average sized white guy doesn't need to be getting involved with shit like this.

but in all seriousness, IF the cops contact you then there really is no way to prove you did anything wrong unless the guy was filming it with his cell phone or something, which is unlikely. don't worry homie bitches ain't shit.

on a side note my friend got a reckless driving ticket (6 points and $490) for attempting to pass a slowing car on a residential road. there are lots of BS tickets out there.

i've had many people call the cops on me while driving for doing some crazy shit lol...never gotten a phone call etc.

think of it this way...you could easily call the cops and make up anything that you wanted to, they aren't going to give a fuck that this guy called...

People called the cops on my friend for weaving in a town and a cop approached him in subway afterwords. Cop told my friend to give him his parents number and my friend was stupid and didn't realize he had rights.

just fyi to whoever is in this thread right now. dont fuck with people when your driving or do anything that breaks the law cause it comes back to haunt you. when you see those red and blue lights behind you, you get freaked and think of stuff you would never do. (i got a story but isnt worth my time) just dont do stupid stuff anymore;

But to answer your question, I don't see any legality issues here. If its all based on his testimonial take him to court for damaging your reputation. This kid must have a shit ton of time on his hands to follow someone around.

Just curious where did all of this take place? Like the Metcalf, Nall, Mission area?

yea I passed on the wrong side of the road, there wasn't a middle line but still, I also ran a stop sign to get back on the main road.

my gf was pissed, really pissed.

as much as I regret it, being a tool is way better than being a pussy. I feel bad for the you guys saying you would have called the cops.

I was out driving with friends and threw a bottle at some random car and they chased us down and called the cops with our license plate number, got a public misdemeanor charge and almost got taken to court for "car damages".. Fucking retard, bottle was empty and he said it splashed all over his windshield, so I pretty much got fucked up the ass

I expected to be told what I did was wrong but you guys are actually outraged by my behavior and its kinda funny to me for a bunch of guys to have the attitude that my mom would have.


I didnt change multiple lanes, he pulled up on my right hand side in a right turn only lane, gave me the finger and was screaming, then tried to pull in front of me before his lane ran out, so I got in front of him and blocked him off and slowed down enough to say fuck you back (there was a red light ahead anyways) after that he was just riding my ass so I did it again. I wasn't even trying to evade him but after not seeing him in my rearview for a couple minutes I figured it was over until I pull in the neirborhood and realize he thinks its ok to follow me and my loved ones to where (he thinks) I live.


After that I just lost control and grabbed the only weapon I had and went to see what his problem was. He was bigger than me but like I said he looked like a pudgy 30 year old IT speacialist named Brian or something. He looked scared and prob never expected me to get out of the car. I was screaming at him asking what the fuck he was doing. He cracked his window and was like "uh yea we're calling the cops" with this pussy smug face like he was somehow gonna beat me in this situation. Then I settled down and heard his friend was actually talking to the police so I called him a pussy and left.


seriously, if your instincts are "oh let me call the big guys with guns to come 'save' me" rather than "lets settle this here" after someone's started shit with you and tried to follow you home then you're a pussy

its not a weapon, just to clarify. it is a multi tool.

and even still the blade isnt long enough for a knife to be considered a weapon, it has to be 4" or longer.
