im 170, 6' 1 and ski park mainly. jumps 60% rails 40%. my current skis are salomon suspects. i wanted to get a pair of ninthward le comte but they are unavailable. so im looking to see if the thalls suit me?
Well the thalls to be honest sound the opposite of what your after. The suspects sound pretty much like what your after so what do you not like about your current skis? with that info maybe we can provide some ideas of which skis to try out.
no ski is bombproof. Are your suspects faling apart? If you really dont want to stay with salomon go for the AR, similiar skiing ski to the suspect but with a 50/50 sidewall instead of a full sidewall to reduce the swing weight of the ski.
if you want a stiffer classic ski. go ar7 they are amazing and EXTREMELY durable. idk what you are saying about suspects being bombproof ive only heard bad stories
What do you like/dislike about your Suspects? That can help us give you a good direction to go. Basically, why would you stray away from just buying another pair of Suspects?
wait. ignore my previous post. musta read another thread.
GET AR7s THOUGH. you will be happy. they are going to be about the same ski as the suspects...maybe a bit more flexy in the tips. but much much more durable
I would not personlly say the armadas are bomb proff, My AR6's last about 10 hours before one sidewall blew out. They were easy to fix but after a season the skis had no camber left and quite a bit of edge missing. Im not trying to say armada are bad, I am infact trying to say, any ski will break if you ride park hard. The AR6's were my fav park ski I have had, but they will break eventually.
Last season I had suspects and Thalls and both stood up as well as each other, so if you are breaking suspects dont expect that buying an armada will mean your skis last forever.
