Are you bringing gear and touring it or trying to hit hotels?

PM me, i've cycled across the country twice and done SF to LA twice as well. a few words of advice; the headwinds riding north on the CA coast will be brutal. the campgrounds on the coast are crazy expensive for tents(they want about $35), back-country camp whenever you can. how much gear are you bringing and when are you planning to do it?

I've heard a couple books about people who have done it, pretty cool you know someone who has done it personally. would be the adventure of a lifetime to be cliche....by the way, did they tell how they crossed the Darien Gap and Salar de Uyuni? only 2 places that has seems really sketch to me
