Always been a fan of docs. The last 3 years I've gotten the doc channel which has a allowed me to watch a bunch more. Trying to find some new ones to check out.


Anybody else into them? What have you seen? What did you like/hate?

"Empress hotel" was on the other night, I found that pretty interesting.


Just watched "Burzynski", Thought it was fucking unreal. Gonna have to research it a bit. If that was all 100% legit that's some of the crazy shit ever.

I wasn't too much of a fan of the Freakonomics documentary even though the book rocks.

It's about a doctor that developed a better treatment for cancer. FDA tried to rape him multiple times, even the national cancer institute tried to fuck him up. Def could see this happening because big pharma is a huge multi trillion dollar industry thats fucked up so much shit with health care already. if something comes out by somebody else that does abetter job than treatments they have billions at the least invested in, that's going to be a huge financial problem.

I need to get netflix. Glad i have the doc channel on tv though.

Doc, sci, and animal planet are pretty much the only things I watched on tv. It keeps me off of ns when there's a good doc on which makes everyone happy

Just watched a few trailers for that and they blew my mind I've read up a lot about the fda and the fucked up things they have done to make sure certain companies are making money but this is downright insane, I'm definitely watching it tonight

I wasn't even familiar with the guy. Saw the title and was like hmm, read the description. Was def intrigued when it said it was about some doctor and a huge legal battle with the fda. Gave it a shot and once I got into it I was like holy fuck.

It was 2.5 hours I think. Crazy shit though

YES. YES. YES. I totally forgota bout that. He is such an amazing person. Highly recomend watching the documentary on him. It's available on vimeo i believe for free. After going through cancer myself, it was especially relevent to me to hear his side of the story.

Cycles South - its a 70s travel documentary about three guys who quit their jobs and motorcycle from Denver to the Panama Canal.


A Cross the Universe - on the surface, a band tour documentary, but dig deeper, and it's actually the story of a frenchman who falls in love with America's gun laws.

I watched one of the roc docks on vh1 the other day and I think it was called "planet rock: the story of crack" or something like that but it blew my mind it was incredible you should check it out
