The two-party system isn't necessarily ruining America, it is the fact that the parties refuse to cooperate with one another. I think it is fair to say the Republicans tend to be the less cooperative party. Most conservatives seem to have their heads shoved so far up their asses that they fail to see their own idiocy. For those of you that are well-versed in economic history, can you show me one case where a Reaganomics/trickle-down economic philosophy has not failed? Why would one give tax cuts to those who can manage taking extra tax burdens? Further, why would one allow large corporations and multi-millionaires to avoid paying any taxes at all? We can cut spending all we want, but in the end, we still have to spend. The only way to support this country while controlling (or eliminating) the deficit is to increase our government's income.
I seriously want to hear some other opinions/ideas on this. I am not looking for argument, I'm looking for enlightenment. So don't get snappy.
