everyone should go vote on freeskier.com for the best skiers of this past year. Whether they had some sweet tricks in the Backcountry (LJ), slayed some gnarly urban (LJ), or went big in the park (LJ), vote in the head to head formats for your favorites and see who wins!

Its sad that sage will lose to Parker White when Sage is a fucking way sicker skier, and I saw after dark, and parkers seggy was sick, but Sage just skis on a whole different level out in AK where shit gets sketchy.

anyone who says LJ is better than wallisch should just shut the fuck up. Tom Wallisch is the best park skier in the world. He is the definition of finesse in park skiing, a combination of both technicality and clean execution. LJ is still a dope skier but he is the biggest huck in world and has no presentation in his tricks

Wallisch finished 16th in AFP ranking, LJ finished 38th. LJ's seg was pretty impressive in Grand Bizzare but Wallisch had some insane shots in Afterdark, and will most definitely have some sick shit in Beggin for change so i don't really get how LJ had a better season

lets hope not, sage is arguably the best skier in the world right now...with only candide being in the same conversation (now if only he would release that Candide Kamera movie we could see what he's been doing other than dominating the freeride world tour)

I don't see how they can ignore Richard Permin.  And Eric Hjorleifson too, Hoji killed it this year. 

Ian Mac, Aurelion Ducroz, Henrik Windstedt.....They should be here too.

then again, LJ has consistently gotten better and mroe fun to watch, whereas wallisch just keeps getting more boring to watch. idk if that just me but..... yeah.

Wallisch had segments/shots in multiple movies, After Dark, Being There, Begging for Change, and One for the Road. 

Overall, I couldn't choose between them, so I just flipped a coin.

Where is Richard Permin? IMO the best all-around skier right now. I voted:

LJ-Segment in TGB was the highlight of the movie

Schlopy-Not a big fan of B&E and you have to respect this guy's comp results. Enjoyed his MSP segment as well

Pettit-I've yet to see Auclair's segment in All I can. Pettit is just so incredibly good.

Rolland-Not really a fan of either these guys. Would have rather seen someone like Hoji or Permin nominated here.

Sage-This was really hard. Both guys had killer segments this year.

Ligare-Really hard here as well. But Ligare just came out of nowhere to highlight TGR's film this year. Dane killed it in TGB though.

haha are you kidding me? just because 40 people on NS said they wanted lj to win doesn't mean he would. i love lj, hes a good friend of mine, but to the general skiing public people like tom more, i wouldnt be surprised if he wins again.

Pwhite did have his breakout year this year. Still not saying hes "better" than Sage, (or worse), but he definitely blew up this year.

Watch it be Tom vs Sammy again haha. I'm pretty sure Tom will at least win round 2 against Phil. I understand all the love on NS for bdog, and I like him too. But in "general", more people know of and love Tom Wallisch. Even though Tom was hurt for the majority of the prime winter season last year, he got alot accomplised filming and even a some competiting with 4th in Breck Dew (prior to injury) and then came back from injury and got 2nd in the WSI/AFP Slopestyle

I was really surprised to not see Ashley Battersby in there for the ladies. She's my fav :'(((

That's the sad thing abou skiing nowadays. Even if someone had a year plagued with injury, but it's "cool" to vote for him, people will. Phil Casabon had clearly a better year then Tom Wallisch, and it shows in the videos they were in. I'm voting based on this year. I suggest everyone else do the same.
