It's finally official. Though I can't remember how long it was between the announcement and release of GTA IV, but I'm assuming we're going to have to wait at least a year.

it was just so in depth. Excellent details and the story was great. I wouldn't be against a longer storyline either.


The only thing they really need is checkpoints. I think they added them in those 2 add on games actually. But driving for 10 minutes only to be killed and have to restart the mission with another 10 minute drive is the worst.

lol what? what company gives a warranty for a product longer than 3 years? Also, i thought they had like a lifetime warranty for redring? I had my software go corrupt and i was out of warranty but then like 6 months later my friend turned it on and it red ringed and i got a free replacement...

the 360 was known to have the red ring issue, it is something that could not be permanently fixed on the og ones, that is what i was told from Microsoft.

since it is a permanent issue it pisses me off that they would refuse to replace it.


3 years is nice and no one else does it but most companys recall their products when they have an issue like that.


in the span of 3 years i probably had 8 different xbox's

GTA IV sucked and I fucking hated it.

I understand they wanted a more realistic tone to it and I can appreciate that. But every 3 fucking minutes:

ballad of gay tony adds a parachute, and a helicopter with miniguns/missiles. It makes the game incredibly fun. Blow up every car in sight, evade the police...bail, and start an epic car chase.

The parachute alone made it worth buying.



I do agree that there were too many friends wanting to do stuff. I got real sick of going bowling, shooting darts/pool, or drive brucie across the entire goddamn city so he can sit in a strip club for 2 seconds.

You can but it's one of those deals that some of the characters... like the emo black guy have great perks if you get a good enough relationship with them.

It's just so aggravating that when they call you just 'happens' to be when you are on the COMPLETE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE MAP from them.

at first yes, but once you get far enough/beat the game you get them whenever you want. There's a parachute sitting right in your safehouse, and the same helicopter at the same spawn point every time.

...or you can just cheat your way to it.


The game is actually pretty fun though. You get to light up a yacht with miniguns in one mission and sink it.

I played 1,2,3, vice city, and liberty city a bunch. Played a little san andreas.



Haven't touched a gta in a long fucking time. Would be dope to buy it for xbox and get back into the slaughter.

Hopefully they focus on what made GTA great in the first place: Open-world freedom and less on the "realistic" aspect that they went with for GTA IV.

yea hopefully they bring back the places...maybe more jets and helicopters and all those sick things like jet packs parachutes, etc. Also It was so dope having a couple different types of "suburbs" like the farm area, small statan island type place, etc
