how much $$$ is a full set up for lights? and what all would i need?

im not sure what they are called, but my friend has some construction type lights. they will light up the area prity nice.

yeah, but sometimes the rail isnt right by a road, or its to long to light up the whole thing for a good camera shot

i heard u can buy a car light and connect one of those big batterys to it that u put in the bigger flashlights.. thats what im doing next year

yah lights are easy to get its just finding power. you can plug into outlet but its illegal to steal other peoples electricity

heres what im buying and doing

go to home depot and get two 1000 watt work lights with the light tree (120 bucks, comes in a kit)

get the cigarette lighter adapter to plug in, run the car, and however far the rail is away, run a long extention cord...plug it in and hit the rail, then cut it so u dont get busted (two 1000 watt lights lite shit up crazy)

i think those are what my friend has, and he has 2 that he put in his backyard this winter, and they worked great. a lot of light

also...REV YOUR ENGINE if u do what i said...if u suck enough juice from your car to power these lights, u can kill the battery even if its on..if u rev it a little, you get the alternator going and it give the battery more charge...just would suck to kill the battery

or you can by studio-lighting-type batteries to power it. those are supposed to last a while i think.

^ yeah, but their crazy expensive...an on board camera studio light with 50 minute battery pack ( a big enough light to be effective) is damn near 250 bucks on average...the home depot solution is at least 100 dollars cheaper and its brighter

the tree and two lights for me was 29.95 500 watts each with replacement bulbs and extra worklight just set it all up practice hit it, hit it again turn on lights (steal that juice) and film it.

i dont know where your finding these inexpensive high wattage lighter adapters h30.. 600W is the best i could find, for $90. certainly not enough light, and way to pricy.

i did hear you can strip the wires to your lights, and rig it to your car battery with some roach clips. i'm gonna look into that.

^ I have two of those... it's like a total of 4000watts so it can get a bit warm, but they can light up the entire parking lot at my school.

i was talking about the lighter adapter, i dont knwo where you can find one that supports 2000 watts. and by the way, theres wayyyyy cheaper lights. sears had the dual 500W on a tower for $50.

ooh...u can get heavy duty jobs for cars/trucks that use the lighter adapter and a battery connection

generators are expensive, like 1500 bucks (I'm pretty sure), and heavy as fuck. If you've got a car to tow it around in, just point the headlights at the rail, problem solved

generator, run it inside a van so its not as loud. you can find deals on them during the summer because most of the time power dies during wet snow storms
