Well, this is purely speculation but I think that multi dimensional bases may be kinda cool. Kinda like this snowboard company called Bataleon. Check out this link.

I think this could be in the near future for some pow skis.

Convex bases for "carving" in powder without sinking, and even that much more badass of slarving. Cleat tech to make it so you can actually stop on hard snow and don't just die every time it's less than 15 ft of blower. Sounds like my kind of ski. Now if only I had $2000000000000000.....

if we new what the next inovation in skiin would be it would already be there, hence we cannot know what the next new thing will be because it hasnt not yet come along, but yes somthing may be emerging, but not yet big
