And this is what to expect after about 4 months (110ish days) of use

Now I would be lying if I didn't say part of the reason I got them is because they are so good looking. The retro styling makes them pretty damn appealing. That being said, I bought this boot because I wanted a boot that could handle walking on rugged terrain with a heavy pack. I also wanted a boot that would last through a few pairs of soles.
This boot was very good at doing that job, and is in good enough shape that I did go ahead and get them resoled (probably will not last another set though. Right now the stitching on the heel is starting to go, and as you can see the toe rand is almost completely gone
The boot is very comfortable and for me had no break in period at all. It has a goretex liner, so your feet will never get wet from the outside.
All around I would highly recommend this for anyone who is doing a lot of hiking or backpacking. If you are doing on-trail stuff this boot literally could last you a decade.
If you are doing something like tree planting though, I would definitely look elsewhere for a boot. Keep in mind that that picture is 4 months of strictly hiking (pretty rugged terrain). I just can not see these boots lasting long doing something like tree planting.
