Worst luck EVER.

Ok, so my parents wanted me to get a new car, something reliable that would last through my remaining years of college. We found a real nice 98 Chevy Blazer with 75,000 miles and we bought it for $7250. Now the thing is, we took it to a shop beforehand to have it looked over to make sure it didnt have any major problems or anything. Well after an hours inspection, they found a few very minor things, but told us overall it was well kept and would be a good buy. So we buy it...1 hour..I repeat..1 hour after it was bought, the thing will not start. I drove it on multiple occasions before and it started and ran just fine. Im royally fucked. And very pissed.

Though it may be a moot point...get yourself a new battery or at least try jumpstarting it. Idk if youve tried that already. If thats not it, it could be a number of things from ignition to just that you need to have the wiring redone which is fairly easy to find as you have a Chevy. But if you know someone handy with cars have them help you out. But definitely try jumpstarting the battery, sometimes if theyre old no matter how many times you drove it before, they can still die suddenly

Haha Cj, very good point...but still...ok, an update though.. I just found out the people we bought it from had a brand new starter put in august 4th. Luckily it's still under warranty and we can get it fixed. It still sucks ass that it wouldnt start the first day I got it.

Yeah, if you're looking for a reliable car, Chevy really isn't the brand to look at. Japanese cars kick ass in the reliability category.

Yeah I know, but this car had low mileage and thats what I was lookin for...all the Japanese models had well over 100,000 miles on them for the price range I was in.

Haha, there's a way to get it refunded- you can get your money back under US's Lemon Car Law. Just take a look on the website below, if the problem is not solved within 3 days, you're stuck with the Blazer for good. Better move really fast.

actually there is a system . a line of components if you will. if the battery is good and you know it then move to the next piece.. the alternator if thats bad then i would take it to a shop ..you dont have to come out swinging sporegasm..

why the fuck would you buy a blazer? those things are fucken retarded, we had a jimmy which pretty much identical to the blazer, the thing was terrible on gas so we got rid of the jimmy and bought a brand new ford f150

Ford is even worse than GMC and Chevy lol. You cant compare a new vehcile to a used one. Next time pick up a Japanese vehicle. They're bit expensive but they last hella LONGER and requires LESS repairing. So it's well worth it in long run.

yes, your luck is far worse than mine. i got screwed of $2,400 so i don't even have a vehicle, nor will my parents ever buy me one, nor will I have the money to buy a half decent one. yay for schoolbuses.

The previous owners just recently had a new starter put in, and they think it is a faulty one, so I'm getting it taken in tomorrow to be looked at. If problems still remain, I will use the lemon law for sure.

I've had worse things happen then that...try a truck ($5000) that checks out fine at purchase then only to find out 6 months later that the frame was completely rotten (found this out when the rear axel mounts ripped off the frame) this the day after rebuilding the entire front brake system ($1500). and there was F All I could do about it
