Replying to Secondary Ski Help
Coming to NS for help here, as I am not an expert in the ski field. Right now I have Atomic Punx 173 with Mojo 15s and Anthems 171 with Griffons that are a little more beat up. I am about 5'10" and about 145-150lbs. I don't ski super aggressively but I ski decently hard. Here is my situation: I live in Wisconsin, so basically all I ski is park, however this winter is a bit different. I am taking a month long trip over chirstmas break to Breck, Keystone, A-Basin, then on to Park City and other Utah resorts. I think it would be sick to have a ski that could handle some pow because I am going to be out west for so long. I have some extra bindings that I could use, so I'm not looking to drop a ton of money on more skis-probably something used and cheaper. My question is-what do you suggest I look into? Maybe I could get a more park oriented ski that would make pow doable and still fun (anthems and punx probably won't get it done). I do not plan on skiing a ton of pow out west-just when it is available. I will most definitely be going back out west in the coming years so they would get some use. Should I go for a strictly pow ski that would be fun on all mountain too (SFB or something along those lines)? Are there any park skis that I could use in the park and also do some off piste/pow shredding and not be left in the dust? Any suggestions would be awesome, as I don't really know what to look for. Thanks for reading my novel if you did, any help would be greatly appreciated.
