are there supposed to be little cracks at the tip and the tail at the edge filled in with some clear material. it looks something like this ( ______ ) and the spaces are where a little clear piece separating the main edge from the tip and tail edges are. is that supposed to be in the ski????

ok let me rephrase, i have k2 extremes aswell and somehow the edges are perfectly around with no break, now the ar7 has little clear breaks that are filled with epoxy and separate the tip and tail edges from the base edge

Companies put their edge ends in different areas, K2 wraps all the way around the ski and connects only at the tail, Armada does it a bit differently and connects in a different place, because of that they don't meet up exactly so they fill with epoxy. It's nothing to worry about, some companies don't even put edge at the very tip and tail, it really doesn't matter.

They are there for a reason. It is a much better build than the full-wrap that you see on your K2s. The spaces allow the ski to flex or expand naturally upon impact instead of busting out the edges when you hit something. So even though it looks weird, it is actually of a much higher quality build. Don't worry about it man.

yes they should have those little slots, if they arent jagged and a cut straight line then theyre supposed to be there, i was skeptical about those slots on my ar7's then i asked armada and they said its perfectly normal and thats how theyre made

k2 edges are very very durable. it might be a better build, but i have alot more cracks on my armadas than on the k2s.
and my domains have that gap, just at the very end of the tail, if i remember correctly.
