Free Jacket for someone who needs it

This may sound cheesy but me being a new member i want to make a good first impression. I have a size youth large Thirty Two brand jacket i got at zumiez last year. Its in great condition and i will ship it to someone that really needs it. Please shoot me a pm if you or someone you know will benifit from it and i will trust your honesty and whoever i think needs it the most will get it.

not sure what this kids play is, but just be careful cause i don't trust him. I've left an explanation in his feedback if you'd like to see, and I am awaiting proof that he isn't, in fact, trying to scam

just figured out what the play was....i told him earlier if he had more Karma or feedback I would be less hesitant about buying without pictures, but that since he was new I would need to see at least a crappy cell phone pic-

his cell phone is broken though, so he said he'd send them from his friends phone

I'll let you know if I ever see these pictures, but I am not counting on it. Until then, don't let this kid scam you.

he is using this thread to bump his karma up. and if he really wants to prove I'm wrong then he can send me a pic of the M saga pants he said he'd hook me up on cause they wee for my sisters birthday like I said in my WTB thread. sorry for looking out for the kids here on NSers, but I have never done this before, and am only doing so because everything he is doing is suspicious. Check his feedback, the kid that responded right after me account was made in the last week. Just like this one. And if I am wrong, I will certainly fix everything I have said with a note in his feedback, and if possible I will try and get a mod to remove it all.

Hope you make someone's winter better with that coat that's nice of you + k. And give it to salvation army sure but why not help someone in the ns community instead of a homeless guy who doesn't know what he's wearing? This is a good thought man but i do get the feeling that its just for karma.

Heres a hint... Karma doesnt matter. At all. If you are here for business then your legitimacy will be proven by your feedback.

If you want to disregard this^ then the best way to earn karma is by contributing to the site in a helpful way or doing fair business with people, not bumping threads that say +K FOR BUMP!!!!!!!!! or giving away  things that have very little value on this site. If you want to make a difference with your jacket, drop it off at Goodwill.

First thing I did on this site was go on pay it forward and give away a pair of skis. A. I didn't need them and b. It was a nice thing to do. Lastly I got feedback from the kid indid business with and rag it made my profile more legit. I intended to do business on here and I have and the only way I I've made some of the deals I have is because I have good feedback. We all have to start somewhere and fucking this kids feedback of re beginning is pretty messed up IMO. If this kid is a scammer he can get fucked but right now it's the kid with 700 posts who looks like a jerk.

Im not being negative Nancy I am just trying to make sure nobody gets scammed on this website. If I am wrong than he has all the power to prove me wrong and Ill feel like an ass and apologize, but he tried to scam me, out of money that I have put aside to buy my baby sister a pair of snow pants for her 14th birthday, and that pissed me the fuck off. So I am making sure he is either legit, or I am ruining his chance of making a dishonest buck. Normally I let this shit slide and if I think someones trying to scam me I just say I am not interested, but this one was a little more personal. Sorry, but refusing to prove me wrong is a confirmation of sorts...

i understand that everyone starts somewhere, and like i said ^ i normally protect myself and hope others do the same. but i hope you can understand why this ones a little more personal...my sisters birthday is in a week. if he scammed me, id look like an asshole of a big brother, cause i wouldn't even be able to afford to buy her a 10 dollar gift. i tapped myself out on boots for the coming season

prove that i didn't and i will sincerely apologize, but like i said, an attempt at stealing my sisters birthday money will not be addressed lightly by me. in fact, unluckily for you, its prob the only thing i can think of that would cause me to make it my mission to make sure u never scam anyone for a penny

for your information, and for the information of those people calling me an asshole, i have had multiple (3) people pm me saying they feel like he tried to scam them as well. luckily he didn't succeed with any of them....and I would like to think I helped assure that he was unsuccessful

You guys are fucking ridiculous. Trying to find fault in a new member giving away a free jacket. Everyone needs to build credibility somehow..and with the amount of scamming these days new members need to prove them selves legit in order to sell.

I don't try and find fault in new members, in fact, I traded a pair of goggles with a member who created his account on October 15, 2011. gardnerjiber. and even though he has no feedback, I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he CAME ACROSS AS LEGIT, and hopefully the goggles show up by the end of the week, and I can leave him some good feedback. So stop bumping up this kids karma because he is smarter than you and found a way to get high karma on a scamming account, and keep in mind that there are STILL SCAMMERS OUT THERE....and this guy is a newly born member of that despicable breed

ok....and in making a thread like this he is going to get a lot of positive recognition on NSers and have better luck scamming, unless of course someone points a finger at him and says scammer with bad motives - bad motive being falsely gaining positive recognition in order to have higher chance of success in scamming attempts

well if your that worried in dealing with him...make the percautionary steps.

Make him ship first.
Make him get a tracking #
Do Not send $$ as Gift
Wait until product has arrived and is in condition aas descirbed.
Have him provide Parental info.
Have him Provide pics with his username.

You can do some of there or all of them. They will assure you wont get scammed on NS.

that is a good point

in hindsight i was really pissed at him because he was responding to a wtb thread i made about buying medium varsity pants for my sister, and scamming my sisters birthday present is worse than regular scamming (not really, but i hope you understand where my anger originated from)

and also in hindsight i was very upset that day because I am in spain, and i had been volunteering on a farm, and one of the horses on the farm died a week ago, and put the owners of the farm in real shitty moods, and so that day I'm not sure what royally pissed them off, but it lead to the guy punching me in the chest, threatening to "snap my jewish neck", and giving me two hours to leave town before he "finished what hitler should have"....not one of my better days.

still pretty positive this guy is a scammer, but i will admit that there are ways to protect oneself as you have outlined above, and the way I handled it was perhaps a little immature
