Touring Bindings

my buddies are making a pretty good attempt to convince me to buy some touring bindings, but i really know nothing about them. anyone got any suggestions for me?

Well, first use the searchbar.

However, it really does depend. Are you looking to skin short distances or for sustained periods of time? Also, do you want to go with a lighter binding that may not be as solid on the way down, or vice versa? Additionally, what type of skis do you have? And how much do you weigh? Do you like walks on the beach?

These are all highly relevant factors when choosing your sticks.

im 5' 10" 160. am buying a pair of surface one lives 189. im not sure what the consistant distance of hiking would be but probably nothing over an hour. im definently trying to get something on the inexpensive side of the touring bindings. and i do enjoy walks on the beaches. care to join me on one?

A touring binding would be a waste of money in your case. Buy some trekkers or just hike.

Ye, if it's nothing over an hour, get some BCA Trekkers. Inexpensive solution. Don't forget to add the cost of the skins though. They run like 150$ too...
