Im 31 and been to dozens of shows. I dig a lot of different music but Im a hip hop junkie.

Last years Rock da Bells at Governors Island was the best. A Tribe Called Quest, The whole Wu Tang, Snoop, and all kinds of others.

It was. I've seen them 40 ish times and that was the best show I've seen them throw down.

Was dope to have that place open again. MMJ played the night before but I wanted to catch the black crowes in albany. They're playing 2 nights there for NYE. I should be there but I might try sell my life and move somewhere with better mountains.


Shit was crazy. They weren't letting anyone out to smoke cigs. I went to take a piss in the bathroom, and the whole place was full of smoke and people smoking blunts/cig/anything. Arlams came on and every one had to evacuate. Fire trucks came and shit. Was pretty tripped out. Def was an interesting night. I would def go back to portland again

Skrillex/12th Planet was a good show Skrillex gets the crowd so hyped.

Pretty Lights is the best concert i've been to, so many hot chicks and so much good music. He opens with I know the Truth and everyone goes wild

Oh man I forgot about the Flaming Lips. A random tech guy came up to me before the show and asked if I wanted to be one of the dancers. Spent the entire show dancing on stage in this Yo Gabba Gabba outfit, got to meet Wayne and the guys backstage afterwards and got a free shirt to boot. It was a really different experience being able to see the entire crowd and watch their reactions to all the random shit.

For me, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers with Joe Cocker opening.
Joe Cocker had so much energy for his age. Then Petty was amazinger some how.
To hear "With a Little Help From My Friends" by Joe Cocker has been something that I've always wanted to experience.
Along side that, I was so pumped when I saw Supertramp. Even without Rick Davies, it was still amazing.

I can't say anything though until I see Foo Fighters next week. Holy tits I am excited!


Notable mentions are Wolfmother, Iron Maiden and The Meat Puppets (opened for Soundgarden)

They sucked live when I saw them. Didn't expect anything ridiculous, but hoped for a little more. I mean it was alright I guess. I moved on to another stage pretty quick.


Still dig that album though. That was early 09 though. Hopefully there live show got better. I'd give em another shot

yeah i feel that, but damn i really i hope i get to see them in my lifetime. they remain one of the few bands that i can listen to every track they have ever produced, and like it. not many bands have that staying power

Radiohead on the in rainbows tour, Sufjan Stevens, Do Make Say Think. Those are the ones that really stand out in my memory, there are so many more though.

I'm gonna have to say Dave Mathews and Tim Reynolds at the Paradiso in Amsterdam.  I'm not even a Dave Mathews fan but the show was unreal and the setting could not have been more epic.  Other than that, possibly P Funk at the Gathering of the Vibes festival a few years back...I had a head full of acid that night so it could have just been the drugs but an amazing time regardless.

I might get shit on... I've been to quite a few concerts, but the most fun I've had was definitely at Skrillex in Portland, Maine.
Pretty Lights in Philly was also amazing. And back in the day Rise Against at Hampton Ballroom was a kick ass show.

hell yeah, i want ot say do make say think is definatly my #2 after flaming lips. when i saw them they played for like 3 hours straight, plus they were the two opening bands as well, so it equaled out to like six straight hours of do make say think. nothing beats the wall of sound they create when all the band members are playing at the same time
