Today I went to my home mountain and had a boot fitter to fit me to the salomon mission rs 8 2011 boots for $360.00 with a $15 discount on getting my bindings mounted...so was this worth it??? Also I did kinda make friends with the guy so that's a plus +++ for the future. And are these boots good/bad your opinion please.

What's your height/weight/skiing ability/preference of terrain? That boot is a soft, wide, intermediate/beginner boot. Buy what fits you and your skiing. If you are a more aggressive/heavier skier there are better boots out there that are wide + aggressive.

They have a boot fit gurantee. As long has you were honest about how the boot fit you should be straight. Developing a relationship with your boot fitter is a good thing.

Thanks guys and this is technically my first year in the park (started at the end of last year) so im obviously not going to go hells bells on everything... they are a great fit and are well cushioned/supported with my feet and I can buy better boots for when my level goes more towards intermediate/expert
