How have I not seen anything about this? Nothing on their site or even google. I have seen it and hear it is being released monday.
11 megapixel camera, wifi attachment, .5 and 1 second photo modes. I'm sure theres more new features, that's just what I've seen on the box
I'm hoping it will work with the original with the 3d kit

Here are more details:
New lcd interface
LEDS visible from all sides.

1080p 30 fps 127° & 170°
960p 48 fps & 30 fps 170°
720p 60 fps & 30 fps 170°
WVGA 120 fps & 60 fps 170°

Photos:
11 MP, 8MP, & 5MP
modes single. rapid (10 shots in 1 sec), photo every 0.5,1,2,5,10,30 or 60 seconds

lens is supposedly 2x sharper
HDMI out on camera

Most interesting to me is mention of a Wifi bacpac and wifi remote. It says "
Long range remote control of multiple camera with wifi remote, smartphones and tablets.
Live preview and playback of videos and photos on smartphones and tablets
Live stream video and photos.
and more..."

It comes with the same mounts as the helmet hero, head strap, vented helmet mount, etc.

Very interesting, the new body looks sweet! i like how it says "1080-30" not like r2 or whatever. 120fps is interesting too bad its SD. the 10 frames in 1 second is cool too, although i could care less about the photo abilities of a gopro. Unfortunately, it will still look like a gopro.

Apparently they're currently available at Best Buys in store and online now but the GoPro website doesn't even mention them.  Also they're the same price as the regular GoPro.

I think I'm gunna go check one out at Best Buy tomorrow...

Too soon, they are still cashing in on the current GoPro HD, they need to take a note from Apple and really time the release of the next GoPro perfect so everyone feels like they gotta upgrade hahaha

idk what the wi-fi is for, solid state memory > wi-fi as far as i'm concerned for getting it on your computer. Maybe they are integrating youtube uploads?

would you feel like an idiot if you started to film then accidentally hit the stop recording switch and didnt film anything cool?
the switch would be cool if it was, switch on and the front button to stop. so no matter what, when you hit the switch its filming and when youre done you press the front button and dont worry about the switch.

or make a good switch with a lock or something.

seriously? you ever tried to hear the beep when you're wearing a beanie under your helmet and it's windy as fuck out, especially if you're already riding and don't want to stop? it can be incredibly hard to hear it. think a little before making a comment.


personally i think the switch on the contour is perfect. it's hard enough to slide that you won't accidentally do it, and it's super easy to tell for sure if you're filming or not.

at first I was all upset cause I bought one recently, but none of those features really ad that much to what I want, the sharper lens would be nice, but I doubt it will look that different.

So we can only record 120fps in WVGA. I'm not super technical, soo whats the difference between lets say 1080p and WVGA?

WVGA is really LOW quality, like 1080p is 1960x1080 and if I remember right 854x480.. So you have a really smaller video.

Is the washed out-ness on sunny days on snow has been fixed... then I will seriously get a new one since i get proform on them... and my 960 has a scratch on the lens... Somebody please give me an excuse to blow some money? Eh?
