Just throwing out there my thoughts, this is what i can come up with at the moment. And I'm not up for arguing cause I'm honestly clueless and I'm probably wrong anyways.
To start the disk and the track and other surfaces are magnetic and repelling each other. Since magnetic fields are created by an atoms electrons, i believe that the electrons in the magnets used are cold enough to where the are nearly still. This lack of movement by the electrons then reduces the centrifugal force commonly created, allowing for the magnet to hold in position than spin off away from the other magnets.
Again just my most wild guess, and looking back even now i can see faults in it but theres my best shot.
