you know that adhesive residue that's left behind when you take of stickers? would anyone happen to have some advice on GET THAT ANNOYING SHIT OFF. granted it's on my ipod and i don't want water damage or anything of the sort. thanks in advance.

basically any solvent

There's 'goo-gone' and other products, but if you can find any solvents in your house, I'd use that instead.
