At what size do cliffs start reinforcing your manhood?

i don't think it is a certain size, i think that a 20' cliff with a really sketchy take-off and/or landing with a short landing area is much more impressive than a 40' cliff into a nice open steep powder landing. so i think it depends on more of the situation/conditions around the cliff

Size is the only thing that is relevant to manhood.  If the landing is sketchy, or the snow is hard, you're just being stupid.  Taking a 30 footer to a flat landing isn't ballsy; it's suicidal.

I don't know about you guys, but the first cliff that made me think "Wow, why haven't I hit the ground yet... *butterflies & STOMP* "  was the one that started reinforcing my manhood.  I'm not too sure on how big it was, but I can guess it was ~25ft with a landing that had a pitch you couldn't ride away from.  Silly east coast stuff, you know?

depends on the snow on top of it, and how you drop off of it. There was one cliff at kicking horse...i thought was just 30 feet. It had a little take off on it, and I thought the snow was soft. Didn't see the landing, so i just booted it and went for it.  The takeoff was hard as rock, and kicked me up in the air......biggest air of my life.  Depends on your view point.

40 is massive. Even with a deep n steep landing.  I was blessed to grow up at Targhee.  We got to hit big cliffs even when it hadn't snowed for a week. The double blacks are full of 80's that are insane

Honestly, anything bigger than 15 feet is pretty manly in my books.

Ive jumped/gainered plenty of cliffs in the 50-70ft range into water, but anything over, like, 25ft scares the bejeezus out of me on snow.

40' is huge. Most people don't realize how big that actually is, like twice the size of a 2 story house, and depending on how steep ur landing is, ur probably falling 60+ feet. I think being able to hit 15'ers with speed is pretty manly

Agreed.  I dont think most people are capable of judging distance either.  Most of the time they are exaggerating the size.  20ft is big when you are standing on top of it.

When you're the only person/crew at the hill dropping cliffs that high. So it varies from hill to hill. If your hill is rock hard and you're dropping sketchy 20fters to flat that nobody else is hitting then you're ballsier/stupider than the 500 people floating 30fters into bottomless pow at another hill. That's my take on it, at least.

It depends on what you are throwing. If your straight airing, then 20+ ft (with a clean stomp) is pretty good. However, I would much rather see a zero spin or 180 off a 5 footer than a straight aired 20 footer.

I'd say 20 is the first milestone. Then every 10 ft after that. Dropping 40 feet feels fucking HUGE.

40 feet. when you are actually hitting a cliff the difference in air time and impact between 30, 40 and 50 foot cliffs is relatively minimal.

60 feet of rock, yes definitely epic. But 60 feet from take off to bombhole in a straight line? Still gnar, but not nearly as epic.

Everyone claims shit that is substantially larger than what they actually hit, I'm sure I've done it at some point. Best way to think of it, 10m diving board is 33ft and thats pretty fucking far when youre on top of it.

IMO 180's for the most part look pretty gay regardless of what size cliff they are done off. I personally dont think they really look that good off cliffs. especially when hands touch on landings and they ride the tips super hard. A clean forwards is where its at when you can ride out the line with style and confidence

anything 30+ but you have to be hauling ass. any joey can bomb drop a 20ft rock and get buried. you you hit it fast enough to where you fly as tall as the rock is, then your get extra inches added to your penis.
