Possible to Dye New Snowpants??

Hey guys I was thinking about buying a pair of pants and dying them a different color but I've never heard of this being done before. They're brand new and white so would the dye hold? Is it possible? Has it been tried/done before?

Unless your getting white pants mega cheap and the colour of pants you want doesnt exist or is mega expensive, i dont see why you would have to dye them and not just buy a pair in that colour rather than go through the hassle of dying them, which could fuck up the waterproofing

Yeah It there a quality snowpant, they will have a waterproof coating on them, and it will deffinatley get washed away through the dying process.

The waterproofing wont allow the dye to seep into the fabric. Somebody tried it and it didn't work at all

I have seen it done, Someone died an old pair of grey camo link's purple. I would not recommend it at all though, dye will come off on your skin and stuff.
