Newschoolers Survey Time!

We know how important brands are to skiers, hell we see all out wars in the forums over who's brand is better for x or y reason, or sometimes no real reason at all. We've got people with companies' logos for icons, and even bitching when companies change their logos, NS included. We try to partner with companies we know you as the community will respond well to, and work with companies to put together ads that won't send you running for an ad blocker.

Well, we need some help here to figure out how to do this. We spend hours pouring over forums and comments, but let's get some real numbers behind it. The survey focuses on how you identify various brands, and how specific features of a brand's image influence how you buy. Simple as that. We are asking everyone to take a couple minutes and run through this survey, and because we know you need incentives, we'll give one random survey taker a pair of skis (TBD) when its all done!

done! and not to be nitpicky but for this kind of survey the best way to do it is 1=strongly agree 2=agree 3=neither agree nor disagree 4=disagree 5=strongly disagree 6=not applicable. for example if I've never ridden atomics before I would put 6 for the question that said "atomics help me ski better" but if I had one pair that made me ski worse and one that made me ski better I would put a 3.
it's less ambiguous that way, and you get more accurate answers

Question: At what price would you doubt the quality of a new ski?

There is no "I don't base quailty on price" answer, invaders were msrp for $300 and there were / are one of the most quality skis out there, they last forever.

really.  maybe im barking at the wrong dog. but yes you need gear to ski. correct. and said gear has brands..  one could with the skill and time. make all of their gear minus boots and goglles and bindings

i find it really lame that skiing in some aspects skiing has become a fashon show.  i do not feel the need to wear any thing that labels me a skier.. the only peice of ski swag i wear is a old siver cartel hoodie.  i fucking ski for the fun of it.   not to just

i used to be all the fuck about it, stickers and shirts and getting the newist new thing possable. then something changed.

im just saying that fuck all this brand cock sucking worship. and  this psudo image of the skier and just fucking ski.   i would hope that some one like your slef would understand this. but then agian you run this place. you have to keep the kids happy as fuck.

And how many people make their own ski gear? I would be impressed if anyone could develop a full ski set-up that is up to par with even some of the lower quality brands. This is just me, but id still rather pay for equipment tested and perfected by a legit company than make my own gear, even if it comes with the price of looking a bit flashy.
