Freeskiing In The Olympics?

My question to you is should freeskiing be an olympic sport? i know that its venues are sacred and its something that is a little beyond what most of the public can relate to or become accustomed to, but recently the addition of snowboard superpipe has brought great attention to snowboarding. So, should slopestyle and/or pipe be added to the olympics, or is the artform of freeskiing to sacred to jade with public attention?

The olympic committee has decided that skiing isn't cool enough to be in the Olympics...

I'm going to be the nice guy in this thread and refrain from getting mad but slope and pipe are in the Olympics.

I'd say that though yes, the OP does not have up to date knowledge that Freeskiing is now an Olympic sport....
THe debate remains the same. SHOULD it be one?
Personally.... I'm on the fence.
The core-ass newschool skier inside of me says "fuck FIS" just like the old days...
But the more mature side of me says "Sure, the general public will know what this is all about."
I don't know if there is a right answer... because each one comes with sacrifices. I mean I am the first one to hate competition skiing.... shit I wish Doubles would never have EVER come into our sport. This shit is going to be triples and quads or some bullshit... and at that point, we should just start hitting aerials jumps. Style should rule. Slow rotations, no competition, and video parts only.
Of course... being in the olympics will probably instantly quintuple the size of our segment of the sport. Money will flow in from everywhere (shit Newschoolers will probably do super fucking well that year) and our top pros will become international rock stars. That is fucking cool. I mean shit...who doesn't want to be a rock star?
In the end though... both have ups and downs. I say sure lets go for it. Those of us who hate it can hide in the small parks and backcountry and film segments and bitch about the olympics on newschoolers.
