When I learned how to ski 13 years ago, helmets were rearly seen on the mountain.
Also, back in the day, seat-belts weren't mandatory in cars- but they happend to save a lot of lifes so they bacame mandatory.
I personally only started using a helmet regularly 2 years ago, when I realized the shit I do can go terribly wrong+ knowing that ski patrols in europe would take my pass if they see me hitting the park with no helmet on.
I think most of the people out there who don't wear a helmet are just not used to it, and don't do it just for steeze.
I don't think any pro would tell you that a helmet just looks rediculus and that no helmet=steeze.
If you do happen to meet such, a pro or a friend, don't let that person be your "good influence".
