K2 Recoil. Good buy ?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a new pair of skis, and I know that the recoil are on the market only since this season, but if someone already tested them, Ijust want to know some things :

First i'm a park skier, I know they are all-around skis but I would have choose the K2 domains, but they are only available in 169 and in 179, wich is too small or too long. I'm 5.9, so right in the middle. I'm more of a jib skier, and I skied some fischer addict for the last 2 years, and I sincerely hated them. Way too stiff... So will I be deceived again with that choice (recoil 174cm), or it's a good jib and jump ski ?

im 5'9 and have had 170 skis and 179 kung fujas's in the past (which measure like 183) and really 5 cm smaller/bigger from 174 is NOT a big difference. go smaller if ur more rail oriented and go bigger if ur more jump oriented. my 170s were fine on 70ft jumps, and my 179s were still great for rails. im not much of a good/techy rail skier anyway and i learned 450's on all sorts of stuff on my 179s.

so dont let 5cm decide the ski you want.

im trying to make the same decision too, im looking at recoils, domains, and the joystick skis.

man if you are 5'9 you will be fine on 179's.

the recoils look sick though, i dont know a lot about them but i did some research and considered buying them for this season. If you are a pure park rider you might want something a little slimmer but i dont think it will make a huge difference that they are a little wider underfoot.

im 5' 9 and have 169 domains (they measure up to 172) i havent ridden them yet so i dont know waht to tell u about the skis riding ability buy they do measure up!

I'm 5'11 and have 179 recoils and they are like the perfect size. You could easily ride a 179, but personally j would go 174

I was kind of in the same boat as you (Just under 5'8" and 140 lbs.) And I went with the recoil. I do however ski quite a bit of all-mountain as well as more jibby park stuff though. I just hate short skis, I prefer head height for park/all-mountain.
I would personally not get the 169, they are real soft with and have rocker so they are probably gonna feel short and washy.
