My friend and his band have been working on this album for over a year and they finally released it for free on their website today. Its a very eclectic album: somewhat electronic, indie rock-ish, some drum samples from rap songs, theres an instrumental track. Its an absolutely amazing album-if you appreciate good music you will like it. Check it out.
Its pretty ok thats for sure. Chill vibes, decent writing, but a year? Thats a little lengthy but still they're out there doing it so thats cool. I really dig modern family. Its cool as fuck. Could definitely imagine them getting air time on xm U.
Yea well I kinda exaggerated, I'm not sure really how long they've been working on the album but my friend's been doing music projects, working on some of the songs that have gone into the album for over a year I'm pretty sure. It took a lot of time cause he goes to school and it took time to get funding to get the songs mastered and they've done a few live shows in our area (NJ/NY).
There's four guys in the band. My closest friend sings, writes the songs, and plays guitar on a few. There's also a guitarist, another guitarist (bass I think), and drummer.
I think that a lot of the music is electronically composed, but in order to present the songs live they need a few different people to get all the songs right + doing things like cueing samples and using pedals and whatnot.
But yea they've been working hard to be able to present the songs live. It seems like a lot of bands go with the simple singer, drummer, guitar, bass format but when Marguerito plays live its pretty cool cause theres like a laptop out, theres a ton of different effects, and electronic shit and stuff going on so its like a big step up in complexity from a simple band format imo.
They're not under a label.
I'm glad you like modern family that song is awesome.
