'12 Atomic Punx with Ffg 14 VS '12 Völkl Wall with Marker Squire

Hi,

I'm Jens, I live in Belgium and I'm mostly skiing indoor (about two to three days a month).
I do rails/boxes +- 70% and some small to medium sized jumps 30%.
For about two weeks a year I go to other locations (outdoor) where I like to hit the park and ski mostly groomers.
I'm 6'1, 135 pounds.

I went to a few local ski-shops and narrowed it down to this:

2012 Atomic Punx with Ffg 14 bindings
or
2012 Völkl Walls with Marker Squire bindings

The thing is that the bindings are sold as a package with the skis.
The Volkls are about 40$ more expensive.

Another factor here is ski size. The Punx come in 173 (which would be too small) or 182, while the Walls are 177 or 185. I'm thinking 177 would be perfect and 182 would be a bit large...

Definitely go with the Walls. It's worth the extra $40.

182 is not too big for a 6'1 guy.. But can't you change the bindings that come with the wall? Cause Squires are kind of cheap plastic bindings, and at your height you're surely gonna get heavier in the next years.

Anyway both are sick skis, it all comes down to what you prefer, Punx are clearly softer than walls.

I would definitely go with the punx. You're 6'1 but you are very light for your height, so I would go with a softer ski that will much easier to handle. Especially since you'll be mostly skiing indoors, the stiffness of the wall will be unnecessary. The 182 will be perfect for you, the extra length won't feel awkward since the ski is super light.

The punx also come with superior bindings. Ffg 14 bindings are more durable then the marker squires.

i got 182 punx with ffg 14s too haha, im stoked on them, im 5'11 150 and ski mostly rails, yes, theyre probably a tad big but i got them together, brand new, for 350 flat /claim

They're €450 here. But I should be getting a discount because a friend of mine has worked in that shop earlier this year.

I would choose the punx purely because of the binding.
