Replying to Rockered park ski question
I'm looking to get a park ski this season and am nearly positive I want a rockered ski. I have a pair of EP pros that I basically use as my daily drivers (including for park) after my Scratches got a core shot and I am trying to find a ski that would be more fun/easier in the park. I am 6'2 165 and have been skiing park for a few years. I love my EPs but just want something narrower as I do most of my skiing in Maine. I am pretty sure I want a rockered ski as I love how the EPs ski and want a similar pivoty and buttery feeling in a park ski. I have been looking at the Alpha 1s and Halos, the Moment Vices and PB&Js and possibly the 2012s. I am trying to decide if I want to get a pure park ski, like the Halos or Vices, or get a wider, do it all ski like the PB&J. I definitely don't want to go any wider than about 105 as I already have EPs for pow and to mess around on if I want to. Also, I am still figuring out if I want a softer ski or a stiffer one. My EPs are noodles and I love them, and I definitely want a fun ski to mess around on in the park, but also a stiff enough ski to rally groomers and all that jazz. Any thoughts on these skis or suggestions for others?
