well no, you now missing the point of how the envioment has an effect on one's mental structure.
just cause someone has abnormal chemical levels in their brain dosen't mean they will go straight to suicide any time something bad happens to them. we do have an innate strive for survival and fear of death. however, you take someone with abnormal chemicals and put them is a bad long term situation where they feel trapped, then yes suicide will probably occur.
human behavior is the product of the interactions between one's own mental programming and their interactions and processing of their enviroment. you start out with innate charectoristics, you interact with the enviroment, that interaction effects you mental proccesing wich changes how you interact and process the enviroment. its kind of a big never ending cycle.

he said: its better to be hated than ignored.
wtf i better be ignored than hated, and thats what i do when i dont like somone, I ignore him intsead of loosing my time by hating. he was probably an attention whore but he didnt get the attention he wanted.
RIP
ps:dont hate i better be ignored
that just how the brain works, it is a filter that changes how you percive and view the world around you. And sometimes that filter shows people the world in a very dark way.
I don't know, the only reason i care is because i hate it when people who commit suicide pussies or selfish. My friend committed suicide last year was one of the toughest people i know. if anyone ever had a problem with me, he would instantly jump in and have my back. when people say they are pussies or selfish, they are inferring that my friend is a pussy or selfish, and he defiantly wasn't either. He just suffered from mental illness brought upon from a fucked up household, and years of hard drug use.

I would appreciate if you came up with an argument if you're attempting to argue. And please take off your caps lock.
You're making it seem as if humans have 0 choice as to their perception and interpretation of the world around them, which is completely disagree with.. you could choose to look at all of the reasons not to get out of bed every day (there are a shit-ton), or you could get your ass up and think of all the positive experiences awaiting you if you put yourself out there. You have the choice to act on first instinct/emotion or think through actions. You have the choice to take insults to heart, or to brush them off.
I definately don't think people who commit suicide are "pussies" in the majority of cases. I am personally very scared of death, and wish to prolong my life as long as possible, even if it isn't the greatest life. I am sorry for what happened to your friend, but I don't think you should let your emotion rule over logic in your perception of the issue.
Haha, I actually do believe free will is an illusion, but that’s not really the path I want this discussion to take. Mostly because it’s pretty philosophical and not really relevant to the overall thread.
However, I don’t think my emotions are getting in the way of my logic at all. How I see it, your life is your life, and that’s it. You, in no way shape or form, should submit to living your life how others see fit. If you want to drop out of college and go travel, do it. Don’t worry about how your parents would feel. If you want skydive, but your girlfriend is afraid of you getting hurt, do it anyway, it’s your life and you only get one. And by the same logic, if things go bad and suicide really seems like your only option left, then you are not wrong in taking your own life. I am not saying that people should just go ahead and kill themselves, because obviously suicide is a horrible tragedy. But someone should not be looked down upon because they made that choice.
Also do some reading about Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The theory states that it is natural human behavior for people to become desensitized to what they already have and move onto more complex psychological needs. That’s why there is statistically the same number of happy and sad people in developed countries when compared to third world countries.
And think about this-someone is getting harassed everyday in school about their sexuality. Since it never stops they feel as though they can’t trust their teachers. Maybe they don’t even have a close enough relationship with their parents or friends to talk about it. They hate their present state and see no future for themselves. But hey, at least they have running water.
You see, that doesn’t really seem to work too well. Now if you are really able to apply that type of thinking into your own life, then that is awesome and I applaud you, but if you really think your average person is going to all of a sudden go from being depressed to dancing around singing the Brady Bunch theme song at the realization that they have a McDonald’s down the street or running water, then you gotta be out of your mind.
