This is absolutely disgusting. How does the hippocratic oath not prevent these kind of things. These parents should be ashamed of themselves and are unfit to have an adopted child. They are playing guinea pig with a child they adopted..   Chances are when this kid grows up and its totally fucked up or commits suicide these two self rightious douchebags will blame someone else.

This kind of bullshit that the parents are doing just makes me sick, i hope the parents are tied to chairs and lit on fire while having there skin peeled off and stabbed with screw drivers through the eyes

I should find and kill those parents for doing something as wrong as that.

I feel bad for the kid because he/she was probably brainwashed by her idiot parents, i truly hope her parents rot in hell for eternity

I completely disagree, they're saving that child a shitload of emotional and physical trouble by starting the transition before puberty. Transgender isn't a choice, it is an actual disorder in the DSM, the kid just can't snap out of it later in life, its either transition physically or attempt a shitload of therapy that has almost no success rate.

The fact she has lesbian parents is purely coincidental

Things like this its seems fucked up just reading "child abuse 11yr old on hormone blocker" But you aren't any where near that person's shoes or knowing them at all to pass judgment. If it's entirely the child's decision let the family continue with they think will make them happiest. If it doesn't work out the the child thinks they made a mistake in the future then we can say "I told you so"
I haven't really heard any people regret becoming transgender.

that statistic is for transgender who don't transition...that was the stat cited by the parents as their reason for going through with that.

I just don't think any of us have the right to judge people's choices. You won't ever know what it is like to be them. You won't ever know how people treat them, you won't ever know what its like to be in their shoes. You won't ever know so don't tell people or insist the correct ways of their life. Woah, I'm not going to say anything about the sex change because I don't know the exact situation; but saying god doesn't love you for having a sex change is pretty fucked up, I'm agnostic but I know that the church wouldn't say god hates you for having sex changes...seems weird god would punish anyone for using the free will he/she gave us.

The funny part is that I'm actually an ordained minister (that is 100% fact), my great grandpa is a methodist bishop, and my aunt is also ordained as well. Not a single of them believes that any of the GLBT lifestyles are an abomination against god.

Even if my credentials aren't that great, people who acutally preach(ed) for a living are on the opposite side of where you stand and are far more qualified and well versed in Judea-christian theology than you will ever be.

The point is at 7-8 it shouldn't really be the kids choice.. he doesn't know what the fuck he is doing at that age, and his parents going along with a life changing decision because he thinks he wants to be a girl this month is stupid... when a kid says he really wants to be a ninja or a wizard do we send them off to a martial arts compound in southeast asia, or to a cult who thinks they can do magic? No, they're just fucking kids who don't know what they're talking about. My cousin who is a girl said she wanted to be a boy when she was about 6-7, she dressed like a tomboy and had short hair for a while during this phase... my aunt/uncle didn't give her hormone therapy and sex change operations because they're not fucking stupid, and they realize she is just a kid and doesn't know what she is talking about. Give the kid room to grow and learn, but don't change their entire life on a whim

thankyou for understanding, a kid at 7-8 does not have the mental capacity do decide if he wants to be a guy or girl, his parents are in a way forcing him to go through with the process too, there's tomboys in my school but you dont see them getting sex changes

That's the whole idea though... nothing has been determined yet in terms of what section (s)he chooses. This process is allowing him/her to delay the decision until age 14/15. Once (s)he has reached that age, then the decision will be made on whether or not to go through with it. By delaying puberty, one can make the decision later with little consequence. However, if the delaying doesn't happen, then that person will be stuck with what they've got.
