This I have to agree with.
Really think about what you want to do. The triple major offers very limited options in terms of park. Jay has a park, but for 90% of the year it's a badly shaped block of ice. Bolton also has a park, which was unbelievable 4 years ago when they had funding, but has been pretty bad since.
Lev hit the nail on the head in regards to Jay.
I grew up skiing Mad River, it is f'in awesome...if you know it. It will definitely take you at least 10 days to know your way around, the trees are thick at all the entrances to the good stuff. Most people get a triple and don't really make it to MRG that much as they have snowboarders that want to go or they are hung over and got to Bolton.
Stowe was my favorite mainly based on its side country access. The notch has hands down the best lift accessed terrain in the east. With short hikes you can get to a ton. Jumps are also the best out of all the mountains around short of Loon and Mt. Snow.
Sugarbush was also a mountain I skied for a number of years growing up. It is really sick, but the large majority of the kids that blindly hype it on here have only skied North or Mt. Ellen, the smaller side w/ the park. I love north, it's like a better version of Bolton, plus there is access to slidebrook (area between the mountains) from which you can catch a bus back to the lifts. The parks are great too, really awesome, creative, snowboarderish rail set-ups. The jumps have sucked in the past, but Tony, the park manager is a good dude and might pull it together this year (and if he does, they will be unrivaled in the area). South has dope terrain, but it gets skied quickly. Castle rock is similar to Mad River in it's terrain.
Stowe gets my vote if you want park, trees, and side country.
Sugarbush as a close second.
Triple if you are less of a park skier.
