So recently I was speaking with an alumni from my college (I am graduating this year), and he was telling me that he has quite a few friends in both places and pretty much promised me that he could get me a job at either place. I will be sending resumes and making phone calls within the next couple of weeks.
but i was just wondering, from the point of view of people who live there what things are like:
Cost of living?
nightlife?
ride in/out accessability?
and generally how it is living in either place?
thanks for your help NS. if i dont get many replies here, ill be moving this thread to ski gabber

I'd go with Alta. They have similar terrain, both steep mountains with plenty of cliffs, trees, etc, but JH is just a ski area and a small town (Jackson) nearby with nothing to do, and it's a pretty barren desolate area, whereas Alta is by a big city, a bunch of other ski areas, and in a nice wooded canyon. If it was down to the ski area alone it would be very close, I might lean slightly toward JH, but considering all factors, Alta would be a better place to live and work.
