I am 5'9 and large is a little longer than finger length. i would definitely go with large.

I would go with large. Each company is a little bit different in the sizing but IMO , XL is too big unless you are into the whole b-dog and henrik style where the tail of your coat drags along the ground when you afterbang.

im 5'9 and i bought XL saga jacket i tried one of my longtee that is the same lengh of the xl and it reach the top of my knees it depends of your body and your shoulders

I think large would be better than xl, but if you really want to see how it will fit, check the website they have a sizing guide with people of various heights and such wearing all the sizes

I'm 5' 11" and my XL drank jacket and XL darksides fit perfectly. If you know your gonna grow a lot then get XL

I'm 5'9"-5'10" and I ordered XL this winter. If you want that stand-out tallness, I'd get XL. The people saying you shouldn't get that size obviously don't like a fit like that, but if it is what you want, I'd go for it. If you simply want a nice and big jacket, get large.
My suggestion is that you should get large, because if you are questioning these two sizes, you don't seem like the 'bigger is better' type. To each their own, mind you... I'm not hating on anyone if that's how it comes across.
