I cant decide which of those goggles i want for this season. I know the I/Os have extra lenses which is a big plus but which one is worth all the money. Also what are some helmets that fit these goggles well?
They fogged worse then any goggle I have ever had, and I have tried more goggles then I can count. I am not the only person I know that experienced this, many of my friends with I/O's had the same problem. It was bad enough that you couldn't even ski with them.
Just because they didn't fit Balto's face correctly? I'm sure for every one person that doesn't like them, there are 5 other people who did. Once again you'll never know until you try (as in trying them on the hill). Don't buy off of one opinion. Everybody's face or preference differs.
i have nothing but good things to say about my I/O's
never fogged on me and i love the lens changing capabilities that they have. To me EG2's make you look like a idiot but that could just be from the fact that everyone at my resort has them
its all personal preference man, like many people have said before the best thing you can do is try them on. for me, I rely on my peripheral vision a lot and don't like to feel like i can't see everything. the eg2s are exactly what i was looking for. i also have the POC Receptor Bug helmet and they fit together like puzzle pieces.
Well he is the first person who I have met with that issue. I have had three different pairs of I/O and they all kicked ass. The seal broke after two seasons on one of my lenses and smith hooked it up right away with a warranty. Sick goggle and sicker company. Go with the I/O!
EG2 for the win. I love mine because I have had no problems with them in 2 years and u cant even see any part of the goggle except for the lens when looking thru them. Smith i/o's are smaller and feels like u r wearing just an ordinary goggle because u can see the frame one u r looking thru them.
I have EG 2's from a few years back and I absolutley love them. They never fog and have lasted great. As other people have said you have great vision in them you never really see the frames. When I first got mine I was the only person I know with them now most of my friends have them and they all love them to.
Had a pair of I/O's for a couple years now and I LOVE them. Best goggle I've ever owned, hands down. You won't be disappointed. Just ordered a couple new lenses for this year too. Have fun on the hill!
I can infer that they didn't fit correctly or else they wouldn't have fogged up on you. See us mature people can infer things and think for ourselves rather than be lead blindly by your pointless, hateful comments just to get out your pubescent rage for whatever reason.
love all the pairs of I/Os that i have had, only fog when I am wearing way too many layers and sweating like crazy or when I leave them on cuz it is really bright when I am hiking. Any goggle I have ever had would fog in either of those conditions, really like the look of them and love the interchangeable lenses too
+1 for the I/O's. I've never had any of the fogging issues mentioned here. They're way smaller than EG2's though. Maybe you should be comparing the I/OX vs EG2 ;)
I work at a Ski and Snowboard shop and to be honest it is all about personal preferance. There are quite a few goggles I would recomend and have been very popular. Those would be the Dragon APX's, Smith I/O's or Smith I/OX's, and the Oakley Crowbars, Oakley Splices. Those are all very good options. I ride with the Dragon APX's and this years SMith I/OX's. Both give you a wide and clear vision of everything. If you are someone who is concerned about your goggles fogging up than i would recomend the Smith I/OX's. The Dragons can fog up pretty bad and it is almost impossible to un-fog them. For comfort, durability, and a good view i would go with the Smiths. The EG2's are also good but can scratch very easily. But again, it is all about personal preferance.
EG2 you can literally see everything. the peripherals are next level. but they only seem to fit a bigger face. the i/o's are dope too especially if you have a smaller face.
