So ever since Ben Afleck directed his first film, "The Town", I've seen it probably 5 or 6 times. You're probably thinking, "Wow, that's really fucking weird", or, "This kid is a die hard Ben Afleck fan". Actually, I did see it in the theaters, and it wasn't that bad; I'd go as far to say that I liked it. But the remaining 5 times I've seen it were completely accidental, and frankly, fairly unwelcomed. My roommate Zilla downloaded it not too long after it hit theaters. Either I was extremely hung over in the morning and the movie came on, or our free HBO 3 month trial would play it. Over and over and over. After it's release I've accumulated more than a normal amount of viewings.
It makes me wonder, did Ben Afleck have any part in the making of the Grand Bizarre? This movie has also logged an uncharacteristic 6-7 views in my memory banks. It's not a bad movie, its ok.... but i just don't want to watch it that many times. John Kutcher left his copy of the movie at my house, and ever since it's like it's been on repeat. I can't blame John, or HBO. People want to watch these films at least once. Yet somehow I'm the poor soul who has to sit through them multiple times. Just like I dont want to watch Ben Afleck in two sex scenes, I dont want to watch the incredible build-up for simons Red Bull pipe.
Maybe the title is a bit leading itself...it truly is "Bizarre" that I've seen this movie so many times.
Congrats Ben, you did it.
