so i bought the FD hot doggers, in a 31. i've got big feet, as i'm sure many of you all can relate to. I'm a big guy, what can i say. and that being said, i definitely don't have those baby legs like the rest of you jib rats do. turns out, the top cable barely fits. shit causes a crazy pressure point. What the fuck right? i thought to myself, this can't be right, there's got to be a solution. i look online, low and behold, there's a top cable section in a longer length for sale. that would be PERFECT, but no no, all sold out.

SO NS... is this a problem across the board for the rest of you. I'm mad, and i hope there's a restock soon or i'm returning these expensive bad boys for something else. i'll be pissed because they feel like they are going to be the best boots ever but i just don't know what to think right now.

nice rant... my suggestion is stop crying about how fat your legs are and try boots on before you buy them.... Sounds like a plan for next time right?

and yea sorry about the shit title guys. i was so pumped on these things coming that when they finally did i went into a blind NS fury rage like i used to when i was 15.

Is the MACRO adjustment on the inside of the shell on the longest notch? That might be your problem...

You also used the wrong your. In this case, you meant "you are", which is generally shown via the contraction "you're".

But it sounds like you've (hey, another contraction!) got bigger problems.

I can fix your problem now...

Step 1: Calm down....you bought a boot without even trying them on, then blamed the company cause they don't fit...

Step 2: Take the back of the boot off (two philips head screws on either side of the ankle...PAY ATTENTION to what you're taking apart...this can be a bit complicated to put back together, but if you pay attention it'll be fine.

Step 3: Look where the top cable is attached to the boot (this is the only cable attached to the backing of the boot, so it'll be obvious)

Step 3: Unhook the cable from it's current position (stock is the middle hook I believe, you'll see what I mean when you get there). To do this, I usually use a flat head screwdriver to pop it out.

Step 4: Move the cable to the largest setting (the notch closest to the open side of the boot). Again, I usually use a flat head screwdriver to pop it back into place, it's not necessary, but it helps

Step 5: Put the boot back together, if you paid attention earlier, this should be a breeze.

Step 6: Try the boot on again, if it fits, you're golden, if not then buy the longer cable (either from Full Tilt when they restock in a few weeks or so, or from the Porter's Tahoe link above). When it comes in, repeat the steps above but add in "remove cable" and "insert cable" as steps.

Step 7: ?????

Step 8: Profit?
