What size Maestros?

so of COURSE all the bentchetlers on atomic's proform site sold out in like 5 minutes (damn) so I'm exploring other options. I've been hearing good things about bluehouse so I think I want to get the Maestros. I can't figure out what size to get though. 178 seems like it'd be too short, and 189 seems like it'd be too long. I'd love to get the opinion of some seasoned NSers on this matter.
for reference, I'm 5'9", 115lbs, looking for a ski to destroy Squaw with.

I would definitely recommend to go with the 189cm. Keep in mind that the effective running surface of that skis is quite short (barely above 100 cm even on the longer length). So if you go 178, the running surface will be even shorter. This will cause an unpredictable ride quality and inhibited stability at high speed.
On early rise skis, ALWAYS go longer.

hey man i ride a 189 length ski (not maestros i am sorry) but just if it can help im 5'11" and they dont feel long at but i weigh about 175 so i would say you could get the 178 for sure and shred those but if you really wanna charge super i would go with the 189s

Lol. Get the 178's. You won't be able to make a turn on the 189's unless you grow some inches and gain a lot of weight. The 178's will be perfect for you. I know it's the trend to ski longer ski's, but in all honesty, 178 is plenty long enough for you. The ski's are still longer than you. The more I think about it, the more I think you should get the 178's, they're perfect for you!

178 Might still be a little on the heavy side seeing as you only weigh 115. Whatever you do DON'T get the 189's...

I know I'd be able to handle the 178s no problem, I'm just afraid of stability at high speeds. my buddys 188 crj's were like barely-turnable rocketships when I tried those out, but they don't have much rocker so there's a bit more edge-to-snow contact. anyone skied both and can compare the two?
