Upper goats and angel at shine have about a foot of snow in spots. good start i guess still a month away.
working hard up there getting everything ready, just waiting for the ground to freeze now and for some more snow. supposed to be warm this week though.
will keep you guys posted of how things are shaping up at shine.

i was hoping to smoke blunts and ski both opening days but money might be a problem so i might skip louise opening day. and if i get the time off work ill be at shine from the 10 to 13.

hey now...
today was trail crew/patrols first day on skis and it was...scary.
we were only allowed to ski pack/cut because it was so bad. hitting rocks every 3 turns or so i would say.
dont know about you guys, but on an opening day i would rather ski somewhat deep snow, then just opening for the sake of opening.

I agree. And that's why I'm in no real rush to go skiing. I can wait till COP opens, and I can wait for World Cup at Louise.

I'm sorry Chels, as much as I know you were really stoked about skiing on Thursday, I think it's for the best.

I wouldn't want your freshly tuned skis to get destroyed. If you have to download on any day, it's not really worth it in my opinion.

We'll have a fresh opening day, chopped full of powder next month at Kicking Horse

Snowmaking broke a bunch of the rails sunshine was planning on using fr opener. But as brettski is saying it sounds like its pretty hurting up there for snow

I was up at Louise on Sunday and it was as expected at this time of year - just Wiwaxy open, busy, icier as the day went on. They did have a mini park set-up: one short flat box, one longer down box, a short FD rail and a tiny table with bonk thing.

Do you know what features they broke? I can only hope they broke half of the flat rails/boxes Sunshine usually puts up so it forces them to put some more interesting features up this season.

"The novice area will be opening for a bonus weekend starting Friday, November 11 until Monday, November 14 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will close Tuesday and re-open for the scheduled season opening November 18. **PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to open the Legacy Chairlift as previously stated. There will only be carpets open. Sorry for the confusion.

Def looking better up there. Big change from thursday to today. Lots of our fences are buried on angel but  that wont be opening anyway. If we get up wawa / dish i will let you guys know how it is.

Ill hope to have first chair. last year i was the 7th chair up wawa. if anyone is down for a shred for a run or two ill be in a red nomis jackett with a black backpack. riding 09/10 sir Francis Bacons. just run me down.

wish they didn't change opening day again
can't go thursday. but i'll be up on friday as long as i have my skis back.
i'm hoping there's enough snow to bring my night trains. but probably not.
